Private Yoga Maidenhead

welcome to your yoga

Your life is hectic. Trying to squeeze a yoga class into your busy day and rushing to the studio for a class at a certain time ends up creating more stress in your life. But you also don't want to practice in your home.

We make it easy for you by bringing you the convenience of private yoga away from home in our dedicated, luxury yoga space in Cookham, Berkshire.

Your personalised, customised private yoga programme takes place at the perfect time for you - or times! We have private clients that join us for up to 4 classes per week.

We now predominantly work with C-level executives, doctors, lawyers, financial consultants, writers, scientists, founders, musicians, psychotherapists, and many more wonderful busy professionals that are in need of a bespoke yoga experience. Some of them started with us with no yoga experience at all, some are very athletic and others have never moved much. We have clients that come to us for post-surgery and injury recovery. Some look to only restore and meditate, others want to move their joints and strengthen & tone. Whatever it is you crave for your body and mind, we will develop a programme that works for you.

Your sessions restore you physically, mentally and spiritually so you can return to your job, family, and personal life feeling grounded, focused, and clear.

Private yoga is where transformation magic happens, and is right for you if:

⚪️ You are completely new to yoga
⚪️ Studio times don’t work for you
⚪️ You like time away from others
⚪️ You had an injury and are restarting exercise

⚪️ You are looking for bespoke pregnancy yoga
⚪️ You have done yoga before, but finally want to learn it properly

If you prefer a bespoke, luxury yoga experience with a dedicated team looking after you, PYM is for you.

Our private clients often see and feel the transformation after just a few sessions. A much calmer mind and positive outlook on life. Less stressed. A toned, strong body.

Sandra is a deeply compassionate, warm, knowledgeable, grounded and nurturing teacher. Although initially drawn to yoga to cultivate discipline, focus and physical strength, and deal with recurring backache in her senior corporate role, over the last decade, Sandra discovered the subtler qualities of balance, ease and grace.

As time marched on, her practice grew quieter, slower, less flashy and more internal. Her breath grew smoother, mind more focused and stillness more attainable.

The awareness techniques of yoga combined with skillful movement created a sense of calmness that permeated through her life. She learned to adopt her yoga to her stage of life, rather than adopt her life to her yoga.

praise

"After lockdown I wanted to get back to find time for self care, and to re-engage with my yoga practice after a long break, where my flexibility and fitness had declined. I have always loved yoga and was ready for some quiet time and deep stretches. Sandra has been great about meeting me where I was, and now we change the sessions based on what's going on in my life: sometimes I need to stretch from all the sitting, sometimes I want to energise. Sandra's intuition and listening has made the most of our time together, she is so intuitive, caring and skilful with her teaching, always committed to helping me meet my goals and I have progressed so much in the last few months.

"Sandra has a gentleness and genuine warmth that is evident in her practice and in the way she interacts with her students. During sessions with her, I have found a way to channel my energy from the need to be in constant motion to a place where I can value stillness in myself. Her studio lends itself to that end - as soon as I walk over the threshold, I feel calm, I want to sit and rest my mind for a while. Sandra manages to bring the intensity and meditative qualities of yoga into her teaching. I recommend Sandra for anyone who wishes to develop a contemplative yoga practice."

FAQ

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

You can start by calling now or scheduling a time for Sandra to call you. On our call we will discuss your availability and needs. From there we can schedule your introductory private yoga session.

WHAT SUPPLIES DO I NEED?

We provide everything for you at the studio in Cookham - but most of our students prefer their own yoga mat. We can help you choose the right one.

I’M JUST LOOKING FOR A TEACHER TO DO A ONE-TIME SESSION WITH. DO YOU DO THAT?

We work with clients who are interested in working with a private yoga teacher on a weekly, ongoing basis. We don’t offer single sessions at this time.

WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?

Private yoga rates are comparable to private psychotherapy rates, not group yoga classes. We’ll give you a quote on our phone consultation.

I HAVE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE, IS THIS FOR ME?

Yes! We love working with beginners.

I HAVE AN INJURY/ILLNESS/DISABILITY. CAN YOU WORK WITH ME?

Sandra is experienced in teaching yoga to people with a range of health conditions. We’ll discuss your specific needs on our phone call, and make sure you work with a teacher who has the skills to give you the best experience possible. You will need the okay from your health care professional for certain conditions.
