Unwind Yoga Studio
Covid-19 Symptoms and Self-Monitoring
People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from no to mild symptoms to severe illness.
People with these symptoms or combinations of symptoms may have COVID-19:
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Repeated shaking with chills
Loss of taste or smell
All team members and students must self-monitor for these symptoms. If you have any of these symptoms, immediately email email@example.com.
All team members and students must adhere to the UK government’s recommendation of wearing a face covering. Additionally, this studio requires the use socks. Socks and masks are available for purchase in the studio.
Unwind Yoga Studio will continue with rigorous cleaning procedures.
If there is a COVID-19 case in the studio, we will follow the PHE Guidance – COVID-19 Cleaning in non-healthcare settings while cleaning all areas of the studio.
We will carry out regular cleaning of high-contact touch points throughout the premises.
Hand sanitisers will be on offer (or directed to where people can clean their hands).
Gloves are not mandatory as the World Health Organisation (WHO) advice is that it is preferable not to wear gloves but to regularly wash your hands following WHO guidelines.
We will ensure that social distancing remains in place .
Queue management – please follow the spacing markings on the floor and outside the entrance.
We ask students not to use the toilet unless absolutely necessary. Please ensure you use the toilet before you come to class.
Santisation spray and single use cloths will be available for students' use for touch points.
Social distancing guidelines must be followed, and floor markings will be made on the floor to show the area for individuals and ensure the safe flow of students into and out of the studio.
There will be a minimum of a 15-minute window in between classes, so no ‘waiting around’ in groups.
We are asking every student to bring their own mats and props. Any equipment that is used at the studio will be cleaned before and after use by the students using spray and cloths provided. Any props that cannot be cleaned easily such as bolsters will be stored for 72 hours after use before being used again.
All classes and events will be by pre-booking only, no walk-ins or cash payments are allowed.
Social distancing and cleanliness will be promoted by the teachers at the beginning and throughout classes.
Group classes will be organised in a series of formations to comply with social distancing, with appropriate spacing between participants monitored by the teacher throughout the class. The teacher will also guide you through arrival and leaving procedures.
Nothing will be passed to/from the teacher to the student – including personal items, water bottles, eye pillows, etc.
The studio will be ventilated before and after class. We are lucky to be able to open the front door and windows in the back to get fresh air flow throughout, we also have fresh air vents and fans and are not re-circulating stale air.
The Unwind Room and storage room will remain closed to students for the time being. There is no space to store belongings, please bring only what you need for class.
Students must not cluster in groups before/after sessions.
Although there may be heightened concerns around first aid, this will continue as normal, with the below aspects to be used when needed: Gloves, resus masks for emergency first aid to be provided to all first aiders, face masks for general first aid.
- Semi-private classes are possible as long as social distancing is in place.
- Card/contactless payment only, pre-booking required.
- We are considering additional steps for any student over 70 or with underlying health conditions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
- If any work needs to be done at the studio going forward, all contractors must follow social distancing and cleanliness guidelines.
- Wellbeing consultations and assessments will be done online.
- Operators will follow the CIBSE COVID-19 Emerging from Lockdown – safely re-occupying buildings guidance on aerosolization
- All teachers and staff will be trained in the above procedures.
