Nourish & Nurture Pregnancy Day Retreat
You have been working around the clock to build a perfect little person inside of you. Now is the time to show your body, mind and baby some love! Join us in our tranquil Cookham yoga studio for 3 hours of well-deserved me-time. Expect bolsters, blankets, candles and cosiness, and leave the studio deeply nourished, revitalised and relaxed.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Guidance through safe pregnancy yoga practices run by an expert pregnancy yoga teacher.
Plant-based snacks, herbal teas and infused water.
A beautiful setting & lots of nurturing.
A handout with some safe yoga postures to do at home to continue the mindful wellbeing journey that yoga can bring to you and your baby during your pregnancy.
To begin with, you will release stresses and strains in a nourishing pregnancy yoga session to ease those niggles and aches and allow you to gently but effectively stretch out your body. During pregnancy your body can start to feel tense and stiff; yoga promotes fresh blood flow and creates much needed space to breath. We will be moving through a gentle yin and flow sequence, using breath to let go of tension whilst gently building strength needed for pregnancy and birth. The session will finish with a mindful relaxation to help calm your emotions and ease any discomforts.
After a short break, you will participate in some beautiful restorative yoga for pregnancy where you can rest and nurture yourself, let your body deeply relax and your mind calm.
Finally, you will participate in a pregnancy yoga nidra session for a guided deep relaxation and meditation to help you fully relax your body and mind, whilst connecting into your pregnancy and restore yourself with self-love. We will be using an essential oil to aid relaxation.
